The Magic Suite

The Magic Suite is located in the sail shed, a cottage that sits right beside the main house on our grounds. This newly renovated suite looks out across the front lawn at a waterfront view of the St. Michaels Harbor, and features its own private entrance and outdoor deck area. The bedroom features a king sized dark wood sleigh bed, complete with plush pillows, linens, and robes. The en suite bath includes a bathtub/shower, fresh towels, makeup removing cloths, hair dryer, and complimentary toiletries. Other room amenities include a personal-controlled hvac system, smart TV, USB charging ports, small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee & tea bar.

This suite is named after the Chesapeake Bay log canoe "Magic", which was built in 1894 in St. Mary's Square in St. Michaels, Maryland. Magic is now owned and skippered by Jon Clarke, who also owns the Log Canoe Inn and Higgins Yacht Yard. Magic has been owned by Jon's family since 1923. 

Jon's great great grandfather was Captain Green, who owned and skippered the log canoe the "Mary Rider", which one of our rooms is also named after. Magic still continues to race to this day under sail number 3, and is recognizable by her famous black staysail.
