The Lark Suite

The Lark Suite is located in the sail shed, a cottage that sits right beside the main house on our grounds. This newly renovated suite looks out across the front lawn at a waterfront view of the St. Michaels Harbor, and features its own private entrance and outdoor deck area. The bedroom features a king sized cherry wood spiral poster bed, complete with plush pillows, linens, and robes. The en suite bath includes a bathtub/shower, fresh towels, makeup removing cloths, hair dryer, and complimentary toiletries. Other room amenities include a personal-controlled hvac system, smart TV, USB charging ports, small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee & tea bar.

This suite is named after the Chesapeake Bay log canoe "Island Lark", which was built in 1901 at Tilghman Island, Maryland. She was rebuilt sometime after being purchased by the duPont brothers in 1977, who also owned Higgins Yacht Yard at the time. She continues to race to this day under sail number 16.
